Privacy policy

What I do with your personal information, in plain English.

Last updated: 22 October 2026

Who I am

This website is run by Jacek Dziurko, trading as JD Transport Advisory. I decide how and why your personal information is used, which makes me the "data controller".

Address: 6 Olwen Terrace, SY11 1LQ
Email: info@jdta.co.uk
Phone: 07364 168481

What I collect

I only collect what you choose to give me:

  • Enquiries. If you email, call, message me on WhatsApp or LinkedIn, I keep your name, contact details, business details and what you tell me about your operation.
  • Newsletter. If you sign up for Compliance Radar, I keep your email address. You confirm by email first.
  • Clients. If we work together, I also keep the records needed to do the work and to invoice you.
  • Business contacts. If I contact you about my services, I use business details from public sources, such as your company name and your business email address. More on this below.

This website does not use cookies or analytics at the moment. My hosting provider may keep basic technical logs, such as your IP address, to keep the site secure and running. The site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google to fetch them and Google receives your IP address. No cookies are set by this.

Why I use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and arrange a call. This is a legitimate interest of mine and yours.
  • To contact businesses about my services (see below). This is a legitimate interest of mine.
  • To do the work you hire me for and to invoice you. This is needed for our contract.
  • To send the newsletter. I do this only with your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time.
  • To keep records I am legally required to keep, such as accounts.

Who I share it with

I do not sell your information. I use trusted providers to run the business, and they handle your information on my behalf:

  • IONOS: website hosting and business email.
  • Mailchimp: sends the newsletter.
  • Netlify: hosts the Operator Licence Ready page.
  • WhatsApp and LinkedIn: if you contact me through them.

Some of these providers process information outside the UK. Where they do, I rely on the safeguards that UK data protection law requires. I may also share information if the law requires me to.

If I contact you about my services

I only contact businesses that hold, or have applied for, a PSV operator licence and are registered at Companies House. I check Companies House to identify the exact legal entity, then find a business email address on the company's own website. I contact you by email only, and I use business contact details only.

If you tell me you do not want to hear from me, I will stop and note your request so I do not contact you again. To object, email info@jdta.co.uk.

How long I keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept for up to 12 months after our last contact, then deleted. Client records are kept for as long as the law requires, for example for tax. Newsletter subscribers stay on the list until they unsubscribe.

Your rights

You can ask me to:

  • Tell you what information I hold about you and give you a copy.
  • Correct anything that is wrong.
  • Delete your information.
  • Restrict how I use it, or object to me using it.
  • Move it to another provider.
  • Stop sending you the newsletter. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link.

To use any of these rights, email info@jdta.co.uk. I will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how I have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint. I would appreciate the chance to put it right first.

Changes to this policy

If I change how I use your information, I will update this page and the date at the top.
